Following one of Cape Towns busiest holiday seasons ever I decided I should post a few pictures of just some of the people who have enjoyed a hike on Table Mountain over the holiday season. It doesn't matter how often I hike up the mountain I never get bored of the views. They change hourly.
At its highest point Table Mountain is 1085 m. (3500 ft)so in terms of mountains its not huge. This being said it is still not a doddle as wherever you choose to climb up (and there are several routes) it is pretty steep. My feeling is anyone of moderate fitness can make it and really enjoy it. The secret is to take your time.
Whichever hike you choose to take on Table Mountain, it is of course the views that provide some of the highlights. The variety of scenary changes so much over such a small area, that in a single day you can enjoy cliff, beach and forest views. All spectacular.
