Following one of Cape Towns busiest holiday seasons ever I decided I should post a few pictures of just some of the people who have enjoyed a hike on Table Mountain over the holiday season. It doesn’t matter how often I hike up the mountain I never get bored of the views. They change hourly. During the course of a Table Mountain hike you can experience the clouds moving in suddenly and just as quickly disappearing to reveal yet another amazing vista.
Lions Head remains one of the most popular hikes in the area. A quick 2 hours and you can be up and down. Its especially good when the wind is howling as Table Mountain shelters its smaller sister.
The views over Camps Bay from the entire 12 Apostles chain is always incredible.
And its always great to hike with a bunch of friends. Either old friends or those you meet on the day.
It is amazing how, after a mere 30 minutes hiking you can completely escape the crowds and just sit and enjoy the peace and quiet of nature. Below is a picture from the India Venster route which overlooks the city centre.
Other trails such as Skeleton Gorge pictures below offer a complete change on scenery.
Cape Point always offers some amazing hiking too.
