Enjoying the views from Table Mountain

Whichever hike you choose to take on Table Mountain, it is of course the views that provide some of the highlights. The variety of scenary changes so much over such a small area, that in a single day you can enjoy cliff, beach and forest views. All spectacular.

The famous views of Lions Head and the city can be enjoyed from the plateau, and of course even those who’ve cheated and taken the cable car up the mountain can enjoy these. But its great to get onto the Eastern plateau, away from the crowds and enjoy them from there.

The same view can be just as spectacular on a misty day. Thats Lions Head just peeking out through the clouds. Great to think that most people in Cape Town think its a miserable day!

 

 

Just being up high gives such a wonderful feeling. This is the view of the back of Table Mountain. Amazing to think you are in the middle of a city.

Once you’ve made it to the top, the views in every direction are just outstanding, and the fynbos is just mind boggling it is so varied.
