The hike to tranquility cracks on Table Mountain is a favourite with regular mountain hikers. Off the beaten track it is a maze of narrow gorges between huge boulders with twisted yellow woods and other indigenous trees winding towards the light.

In the summer it offers wonderful shade but  can also be a wonderful escape from a biting southeaster.

Found about 15 minutes of the 12 apostles path on Slangolie buttress it is best accessed via corridor ravine but you could approach from any route you prefer.

Quite difficult to find it is easy to become disoriented whilst exploring the area and so on a misty day be sure to stay aware of the route back to the main path.

Join Ridgway Ramblers for a guided hike of some of the secret places such as Tranquility cracks that only the locals know.
