Don’t let the rain put you off!

The weather in Cape Town is notoriously unreliable! Something about having this lump of rock right next to the sea. It means we often get 4 seasons in one day so be prepared for all conditions when you come for a hike on Table Mountain and don’t be put off if the weather seems less than perfect in the morning.

Here are some photos of a hike I went on last week, It was drizzling and there was a heavy mist when we set off. Nice and cool hiking conditions!

However within 20 minutes we got above the clouds and into the blazing sunshine.

Above the clouds on Table Mountain

This photo is taken from about half way up Platteklip Gorge. Thats Devils peak you can see poking out of the clouds on the right.

Table Mountain walks

You can just see a tiny bit of Lions Head sticking through the clouds in this shot

So don’t be put off by bad weather in Cape Town. In just an hours time you could be slapping on the sunscreen and peeling off those layers.
