The Golden Sunshine Bush of Table Mountain
A common plant to look out for on
One of the most aptly named conebushes is the Golden Sunshine Bush.
When in flower the mountain is covered by a yellow wave.
Conebushes are of the Protea family and found throughout the Table Mountain chain.
Below is a picture taken on Table Mountain in mid August. Little other colour is present on the mountain at this time so the sunshine bush really adds some beauty to the mountain.
Join Ridgway Ramblers on a guided hike of Table Mountain. We know what is flowering and where to see it.
