Hiking trails on Table Top Mountain Cape
Town
If you are looking for hiking trails on Table Top Mountain in Cape Town then you are at the right place. Seen from the city the towering flat topped mountain can seem somewhat daunting but there are numerous trails to be found. In fact many people are surprised by the size of the mountain once you get on top. Behind those imposing cliffs that tower above the city the mountain stretches for a further 16km.
You can ascend from a number of paths some overlooking the city, some Camps Bay and others False Bay. On some routes you will be hiking through forest whilst on others you will be going up bare rocky steps. Or you can even cheat a bit. Take the cable car up to the main plateau but from there escape the crowds and go for a full day hike to the reservoirs or Maclears Beacon. (the highest point)
Whichever route you choose you will be able to escape into a pristine wilderness home to the fynbos plant kingdom.
