Walk up Table Mountain from

Kirstenbosch Gardens

Above the famous Kirstenbosch Gardens is one of the most well known and beautiful of the routes up Table Mountain. Following a deep indent created by a stream which trickles right through summer this route is shaded by huge indigenous trees such as the red alder, wild peach, yellowwood and assegaaibos.  The path winds it way up with a couple of well placed ladders to assist up a couple of difficult scrambles.  Emerging at the top beside a huge boulder you can choose  from a number routes.     Either follow the path straight ahead to the dams, turn right to follow Smuts track to Maclears Beacon, or turn left to head towards Nursery Ravine and Constantia Nek.
