Jonkershoek Nature Reserve

1 hours drive from Cape Town, Jonkershoek Nature Reserve contains both full day and half day walks, through magnificent fynbos, and with some of the best views of Table Mountain and False Bay.

The Panorama Trail: This magnificent, 17km circular route. Offers some of the most spectacular views of any walk in the Western Cape. A steep ascent is followed by a traverse, along the top of the valley, before descending the steep Kuktrekkers Nek.

Tweede Waterfall Trail: The 6.4km Tweede Waterfall Trail, offers a beautiful and relaxing day out. An hours walk alongside the river, leads to a number of small waterfalls and rocky pools. The day can be spent relaxing and swimming, or the more energentic can explore the steep Kurktrekkers Nek which ascends the gorge behind.

Kogelberg Nature Reserve

 The beautiful Kogelberg biosphere reserve is situated 1.5 hours drive from Cape Town along the South coast.  The pristine valley of the Palmiet river, contains some of the most beautiful and unspoilt fynbos landscapes of the Western Cape.

Palmiet River walk: A gentle full days walk, following the Palmiet river valley. This is a flat hike, with an option to walk a maximum of 18km. Numerous sandy beaches tempt hikers for several swim stops along the way.
